A vigorous rain squall with hail after 2 minutes. Recorded in a suburb of cardiff with an r-09 hr, rode nt4 in a rode blimp. General urban background, some cars passing in the distance, footsteps and doors.
It's a recording of sounds of an old store refridgerator. The recorder (zoom h2) was put into the fridge. There are sounds of fridge getting opened and closed, started up and stopped. It was recorded in a dance studio, hence the music in the background audible in the beginning. Lots of interesting noises this fridge makes. Recorded with zoomh2 rear mics from inside of the fridge. An atmospheric and mostly mellow walking recording in lower east side, nyc. There are many metal access doors to the streetside businesses that are built into the sidewalk and that is the banging that you hear as people walk over them. Clips also has a few snips in it.
Recorded a door closing at my school and then modified it in audacity to create a sort of sproing-ing sound. Use: when you need a boomerang sound that isn't really a boomerang but that's ok because it sounds like one.
I mounted the mic inside and on top of the car and drove trough the city, recording some ambulance, traffic, and a scooter that was tooting, later i turned of engine, opened and closed the car door and startet the engine, maybe you find it useful, let me know :). This is a recording of several professional gas-heated clothing dryers running in a laundromat. It was recorded from about three feet away near the left end of the dryers operating, near the front-loading doors of the dryers. Heavy, cyclic, mechanical rumbling sound. This is a recording of a keurig coffeemaker brewing a 6 oz. Cup of coffee in a mug. The clip begins with the closing of the door over the brew-pod container. The coffeemaker's pump cycles 43 times for the brewing of a 6 oz cup, and then refills and reheats the internal reservoir.

Door to stairwell opens and closes and someone walks up two sets of stairs, the first one slighty faster than the second. Then another door is opened and the walker enters an office where music is playing very softly and there's a bit of an office din. The office portion can also sound like entering a hotel lobby or outer waiting area of a symphony orchestra concert. The stairwell is concrete and metal. It's very echo-y. Recorded on a samsung galaxy s3.
Another sound accomplished downstairs at the bookstore called nerman's books and collectibles on osborne street. I used the fridge door to open and close to record 19 seconds of sound, however, the suction of the sound of the gasket of that refrigerator is heard in this audio to note - listen carefully!.

Bad windstorm was came to pécel, hungary on 31st march 2012. I recorded some sounds caused by the wind, for example door shutting, trees whizzing, etc. I used sony stereo dictaphone, 44100 khz, 16 bits, stereo. I tried to minimize the rumbling sounds.
